Robots Control the Future

Robots Control the Future
This scene starts off with an old beaten up truck. It reminded me of humans passed achievements. However these achievements are old and rusted. The wave of the future are the robots. However we must enter this future with caution. This threatening art piece reminded me of a robot, or some sort of A.I. Then I show a serene picture of flowers with the 'achievements' of mankind towering over the wild that we as humans have conquered. I then go back again to the robot that almost certainly will be dominant in the future. Notice the larger robot is made up of hundreds of tiny frightened humans.

Flicker

Flicker
The interesting view in this piece is that each individual clip has something in common with the previous shot, and then the following. First the basic layout of flowers earns itself an obvious resemblance. Then the signs are much more subtle once the frames come alive in movement and vivid colors. The second time the bouquet of purple flowers is revealed a ray of light pierces the lens. That flare is then continued in my next shot. This shot on the side of the building has a weak ray of light to the left, then a main one, then three more vertical rays reaching across the void of screen. Slowly, one by one, the rays of light disappear leading you to an unfocused blurry tree. This lack of vision gives this world a sense of wonder. It is different, then as the film flickers off you realize this world is not even real at all.

The Reveal

The Reveal
The Reveal is an image of dead wild life. Interrupted by quick flashes of the living. I took most of these pictures right off of water street.
I caught only wild life with the city standing in the back.

Rough #5

Drive By
This is a car driving by. It is my least intriguing. However, to intrigue you here is not my point. The motion is swift and fast with the truck in the frame the whole time.

Rough #4

Roller Coaster
This piece was actually composed of my trash clips. These fast movements whip you around with themselves as the are on a non-stop trek to nowhere. The same high energy as most my pieces, but this particular clip is the most chaotic.

Rough #3

The Focus Tree
This image is the most attractive to me. It is next to the river downtown. The out of focus image of the tree with the buildings in the background just clears my mind.

Rough #2

I Watch My Shadows
This is actually two separate takes with simple "back and forth" editing. The continuity is jumpy yet linear.
